Through the years there have been numerous Houdini shows, each trying to carve out a niche. They were usually named along the lines of “Houdini Jr, Mr. Houdini, Mrs. Houdini, Houdini Lives, Lady Houdini, etc. While some were entertaining in their day none of them had anything really connecting to Houdini.
This is where the story takes a turn, a huge century in the making turn; In Houdini’s 5th and final film the escape artist was beat up by thugs and frozen alive in a block of ice a century earlier, and the date flashed on the screen was Houdini’s real birthday.
100 years later he is found and thawed out and has no idea why everything is different until someone shows him a date in the newspaper it is 100 years later and it is Michael Griffin’s birthdate (eerie, cue the Twilight Zone theme now).
Houdini made this film of reincarnation perhaps for a reason known only to him. Over the years Michael Griffin has met several people who knew Houdini and several authors and biographers of Houdini and all say the same thing - “if anyone is Houdini it’s you!”
