Escape Artist Michael Griffin dares LA County fairgoers to think outside the box, win $1,000.00

Sep 27, 2010 – Escape Artist Michael Griffin challenges LA County fairgoers to think outside the box, and possibly walk away with $1000.00 in their pockets.

Michael Griffin, America’s Escape Hero to appear and disappear Oct. 1-3 at the LA county fair Coca Cola stage, guarantees thrills, chills and jaws dropping.

POMONA, CA, SEPT. 27 / -- Michael Griffin, America’s Escape Hero and only Two Time Winner of TV’s World Magic Awards for Best Escape Artist (http://www.escapeguy.com) is offering his world wide challenge of $1,000.00 to anyone who can tie him up with rope preventing his escape Oct. 1-3 at the LA County Fair as part of his tour this summer.

Griffin, known for embracing life by tempting fate live on stage certainly has some tricks up his sleeve.  So what makes America’s Escape Hero so different in a World of Same? Why do audiences flock to him? Originality, Michael is the only performer in the World that combines his intensely original magic with impossible escapes, audience interaction and the chance that at any performance someone could win the challenge.

Dazzling and breathtaking as a performer, Michael takes supreme escapes to the extreme challenge in many forms including escaping water-filled sealed oil drums, the most complex police restraints and even mental hospitals. One of his most interesting on-stage challenges is an 1880s Navy Sea bag, most notably called the cloth coffin.

Forget typical straitjackets, handcuffs and ropes Griffin has taken passé escape concepts to an escalated level - into a new realm of risk in the art of escapology. What ordinarily would be a well-known handcuff escape Griffin adds the suffocating dare of having to escape from them inside a heavy airtight canvas sack, which is the most original escape today. Even the U.S. Government hasn’t been able to hold him in a real Postal Mailbag locked on the outside by a high security Government lock!

Griffin has also added his own twists to dangerous non-escapes, including the East Indian Needle Mystery - a jaw-dropping challenge in which he swallows 40 needles separate of some thread, having his mouth proved empty then, regurgitating the needles threaded along the entire eight-foot length.

“Sometimes I feel like a gunfighter in the old west, never knowing what’s coming my way, but never being able to let my guard down”, says Griffin.

Talks are even in the works for a possible reality-based escape program starring Griffin. The interactive program would allow viewers to call in or vote via the Internet for their escape choice during the show – and Griffin would then perform the chosen escape live on the show.
